    VIT vs. STR 3.2

    Stats listed (pre3.2/post3.2)

FULL 210 STR +35 AP (STR)

    Strength: 1045/1045
    Vitality: 828/828
    Attack Power: 1045/842
    HP: 15625/15625

FULL 210 VIT +35 AP (VIT)

    Strength: 775/775
    Vitality: 1108/1108
    Attack Power: 775/846
    HP: 21365/21365

FULL Penta (not a perfect build) + 35 AP (STR)

    Strength: 953/953
    Vitality: 972/972
    Attack Power: 953/865
    HP: 18577/18577

Interestingly I noticed that when taking off fending pieces and putting on STR ones, attack power would go up to 860-870, but then as you put on more STR ones, it goes down farther. Not sure what this means mathematically, but I assume its gonna go down as we gear up.

Use to be 1 str = 1 attack power
    Now it is 1 str = .45 attack and 1 vit = .45 attack

If attack power drops as str is swapped in and vit is removed, it's more likely that vit is 0.6 and str is 0.4

Its due to the accessories having more vit on them then str

Pretty much seems like going full VIT spec, with a full set of fending accessories, with a first slot STR V melded in is gonna be king, then? If VIT/STR are close in terms of AP boosting - doesn't seem worthwhile to take any STR except the 'extra' you can have (first slot), given the AP contributions and the survivability increases of VIT.

(Which is exactly as some people speculated after hearing what Yoshi said, though).

Ah, OK, thanks. I'll have fun trying it out tomorrow myself. Hopefully we get a digest about how PLD plays in-game now.

Lost a quarter of my damage, thanks Yoshi. Maybe I can look forward to my old 8k Fell Cleave crits by the time I hit i240 with a Savage weapon.

Very basic division using the example resulted in

    1 AP = 2.22 Combined VIT+STR
which in turn if both were equal would lead to 1.1 STR = .5AP and 1.1 VIT = .5AP
which is unlikely due to what they wanted to acomplish; and extra STR seemingly to give diminsihing returns, so VIT has to be slightly more so probably,
    1 STR = >.5AP and 1.2 VIT = <.5AP by minute fractions
    or... would it be 1.2 STR = >.5AP and 1VIT = <.5AP

this is why i dont math

but this is all super basic using the examples so yadda dont hold it accurately

It is 0.45 AP per Vit and 0.45 AP per Str. Just tested it briefly.

Confused how it could be even, yet taking a VIT accessory and replacing it with a STR one can make AP go up. Or is this not true? Can't go on to test atm.
