See, I don't see where folks are getting that this will break immersion or look silly. No one is asking for the various sword related ability/spell effects to be invisible. As far as the actual blade, it could be translucent or blurry.

I want people to stop suggesting anime glamours.

We don't have any plans to make all weapon types transparent; however, for monks, we are planning to release something once we look more into the concept of fighting with their own fists.

From a World setting and story perspective, not having a visible shield would mean that you couldn't use shield bash or shield lob, and as such we have no plans to introduce an "Emperor's New Shield." However, we may be able to make a small shield so that it doesn't stand out too much, so we will look into that.

The shield has pretty much already been said 'no' to in one of the many other threads about it.

If you do Cure or Stoneskin with AST, it still looks weird with your empty hand gripped around nothing; if the spell effect's centered on the hand, it should most likely obscure your weird empty crab claw.

Even worse for an archer, their bow with a magical nocked arrow floats in front of them.
