The patch notes don't list the classes for specific items and they never have, outside of new weapons. The weapons have classes listed because "Rogue's Arms" is the actual name of the type of the item (just like your body armor says "Body" on it, all of your weapons have "[class name]'s Arm").
The Allagan gear will most likely have the exact classes they did originally (so the Allagan Striking set will have NIN on it, and so on).

I still don't have the minions from ST & WoD. I'd gladly farm them again, and that weekly quest, to get them.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
Because it is an English popculture reference and they like to use those (see previous comments about references to random TV series). However, like this it's, pardon my language, half-arsed. Either don't make it at all or make it proper =x
Anyway, actually looking forward to the patch, not having any other beef
I'm aware of the bad joke they are trying to make. Alas, it fails because the original is a joke already. A joke of a joke...well, let's not go further into this. Sorry you missed my point <3

I find it sad that the patch notes had so much to them, but the most talked about thing in this thread is "senpai"
Notice me, senpai, notice me!
The MCH changes are pretty swell and I'm happy with them. That SMN buff makes me tempted to switch back to my old job though...
I was interested in the Mentor System before but seeing it in more detail makes it appealing to me. Kinda bummed I'll have to level my tank to 60 to use it, but y'know it'll be good motivation to learn something new!
Seems like a solid patch with only a few minor issues so far. Pretty nice.
You've got to love some of the endgamers in this thread. They'll find a cloud in every silver lining before any of us get the chance to look up.
I think you missed the hundreds of other jokes of jokes that the NA Localization team has snuck in over the past few years. Just as one example (off the top of my head—but there are others), there's a FATE in Southern Thanalan with the title "Call Me Mayhaps," from that whole "Call Me Maybe" song that went viral on the 'net awhile back. Call Me Maybe was already a joke in and of itself, but they often reflavor the joke in a small way to make it fit the game as a whole—so instead of using Senpai, they use Mentor, because it's the "in-game" version of a Senpai. That's pretty much just standard operating procedure for them at this point.
But honestly, a number of players probably wouldn't even know what Senpai meant—anime has a pretty niche audience these days in the States.

Well I assume we will find out on patch release day...still no reason to keep it class locked at this point though tbh lol ...it's only used for glamour now anyway. The patch notes don't list the classes for specific items and they never have, outside of new weapons.
