    You call that a nerf?

It's a rework at best. You'll do more damage and have more health. So you won't have the full DPS of a strength tank with the health of a vit tank, so? Surely I can't be the only one who can see that would be overpowered as hell.

    This.

I have a full VIT tank and a full strength tank in my static. I literally don't notice a difference healing the two, and neither of them effect my ability to DPS. I don't know why people keep saying 'oh vit tanks take more healing', because if their health gets so low that the extra vit makes a difference, then it would have been a wipe without it, so it's silly to complain....

Argument literally only applies to DRKs that use walking dead, and the very few mechanics where warriors have to holmgang, and even then it's one more physick at worst. Whoopdie freaking do. XD

I also must say that I scholar'd my way through all of coil while it was current, and there wasn't a single fight I couldn't DPS in. I wonder if you know what you are talking about.

There's a big difference between progression healing in Coil vs progression healing in Alex (except A4S). Remember T5, where you had to get those Adlos and Stoneskins on your CD-popping PLD or he'd die to the auto attack after Death Sentence?

And a difference between being able to DPS at points (Coil), and DPSing most of the time (A1S-A3S) as SCH. Really, the only fight we have right now that really pts pressure on healers is A4S, and there's still times when healers can go full-DPS mode.

I'd also like to check when you cleared A4S, but sadly I cannot. Why achievements are hidden by default is beyond me.

I also get the feeling everyone thinks that enemy damage is going to stay as it is now. If it is...I fully except even casual raiders to have A8S down within a month, since the DPS checks are going to be lighter and tanks and healers will be almost full-time DPSing.

It probably is. The Devs already said Alex Savage was a bit more, well, savage than intended. I don't imagine the upcoming crop is going to be nearly as initially difficult as what came before.

The DPS checks were. Damage on the tanks...was so weak.

My apologies then, but your original statement was very unclear if that's what you meant, and made it sound like people had both healers healing all the time in coil, which wasn't true at all for any fight short of that terrible enrage method in turn 2.

And I've not cleared A4S, still on A3 due to static issues (good old static killer A3, on my 3rd static now), but that's not exactly relevant since we were talking about coil. :P

Another thing though, speaking of Alex, you say savage is easier and damage was low...I wonder if we're playing the same game? Sure it seems low now that everyone is geared, but on the weeks after release tanks barely survived the tank busters, and there were quite a few points I had to heal, compared to coil where I basically always DPS'd unless I had to mitigate something. Double preys and plasma on tanks was nothing to scoff at at 180 item level.

While the initial clear was done in tank stance, it wasn't long before I was in dps stance the majority of the time, and then full time. A2S I learned almost fully in dps stance. A3s and a4s didn't take long for mostly dps stance either

Compared with coil, damage on the tanks is low. Theres only really two tank busters, one in A1S and one in a4s.
