Well, since it's Tuesday, I went to do Void Ark for the farthing. For the most part things were fine, our one healer had a bad connection and left on our way to irminsoul and sawtooth, but we had no issues there. Got a replacement healer right after the boss room locked, and then after beating them, our tank gets loot and leaves and we get a new tank during the trash pull with all the gargoyles. We get to Cuchulainn and everything is fine during the fight, early on one of our members says in alliance chat for people to get off the platforms than tells me to in party chat. I ask why and he says because of the aoe fields. I stay on the platform and everything is fine, things get a little bad as the poison stacks up towards the end, but that's about it. So then during Echidna, I end up getting into an argument with 3 other party members because they were saying if everyone stood on the platforms than Cuchulainn would be impossible because we'd have no safe zones during his room wide insta death attack. Admittedly, the typing did cause me to get hit by each petrify except for when she split, but Echidna went down incredibly easily. After the raid, I decided to see how many poison puddles Cuchulainn drops, and correct me if I'm wrong on this one, but he only ever has 2 puddles out at any given time meaning that even if the raid consisted of nothing but ranged and casters except for the tanks, half of the platforms would still be safe.

I was in The Sunken Temple of Qarn but two of us were brand new to it (myself included) and the tank kept getting made that we didn't know what to do... but the healer and tank didn't tell us what we needed to do after asking... after dying on the second to last boss, the tank just up and left. I totally get it, like sometimes you just want to burn through that roulette, and by and large a lot of the players I've met have been all really nice and awesome, but like, if you're complaining about something in which you have the capacity to fix and you aren't, it's weird that folks spend so much time playing a game whose philosophy is literally "you should help us because you can."

Pretty sure he only drops two puddles. I make it a point to stand on the pads as a ranged dps just to make void runs slightly more fun. The one time someone complained about me being on pad thought the foobars left the puddles when they died.

And his puddle dropping is on a script so as long as you know the timing you can stand on the raised platforms all you want.

Day Three leveling LNC in HW, level 52:

Trial roulette - boring.
Fitty roulette - Brayflox so...yeah
Leveling roulette - in progress at the beginning Dusk Vigil (of course). Healer was worried I was LNC but didn't leave or kick me. Finished smoothly except for in the middle we had to wait for the other DPS to sort out their internet or something.
MSQ roulette - bunch of newbies but it was fine.

I did NOT LEVEL D': I'm close though.

But I'm still scratching my head over why swiftcast would be in the first slot...

Likely set it up without thinking about how slot position interacts with level sync, and just picked an important skill to put in first. (At least they had cross-class skills set up. I've seen players before who, despite having leveled enough to unlock some useful cross-class skills, never actually assigned any.)

Why are you doing this to the other players, and handicapping your own experience to boot? Leveling LNC to 34 just to cross class Blood for Blood I understand, but playing it beyond that point on purpose without your Dragoon crystal in 30+ dungeons is pretty inconsiderate.

Yesterday I decided to take a break from leveling DRK, PLD, WAR, AST & WHM to 50 and fiddle around on my alt on Ultros. When I unlocked Sastasha & Tam-Tara both healers didn't bother casting Protect. (Well, the healer in Tam-Tara did finally get around to casting it). And these weren't inexperienced players, or even inexperienced healers. It was just... one of those days I guess.

Why are you doing this to the other players, and handicapping your own experience to boot? Leveling LNC to 34 just to cross class Blood for Blood I understand, but playing it beyond that point on purpose without your Dragoon crystal in 30+ dungeons is pretty inconsiderate.

For glamour, originally, now for completion and I have nothing else to level.
I'm really in no rush and if people don't want to run with me then they can kick me or leave, it's fine. That's fair.

And honestly if I ever get a higher dungeon I'd probably just leave myself at that point. I'd rather not run them as LNC.
