The basic premise being "you have 3 minutes to kill this thing. If you can't do it you need to learn your rotation a bit better".

I think it would go a long way if it let you pick your time. I think a 3 minute parse is quite common when testing things (as it lines up with important cooldowns like Raging Strikes); however, sometimes it's important to know how your 1 minute opener is. Other times it may be important to know how your DPS stacks up sustained over a more lengthy period. It may also be useful to have an aoe rotation option.

Start it up, 1. Select Difficulty, 2. Select Length of Time, 3. Select Number of Targets

I can't say for certain that the Stone, Sky, Sea won't have these, but nothing they've shown so far suggests it will.

seeing as how the time limit is part of the duty list itself, you have 3 min period.
seeing as there is more info, including a time limit, it can be said for certain.
