    Make great use of Adloquium.
    Keep Eos on sic.

    Done.

And don't come to me about "SAVING THEM FOR SITUATIONS (that don't exist in the VAST majority of the game's dungeons)", you see WHMs and AST use their healing boosts CDs, Long CD HoTs and damage reducing CDS all on a whim for great effect! Where as scholars do the exact opposite to achieve less.
Don't be like those scholars who make it hard on themselves for nothing.

While most have already mentioned why its not recommended. The main driver is that Physick/Adlo and Embrace do not share the same recast/cooldown (2.5/3 sec). In the long run you are getting less fairy embraces by tying it to manual healing skills which are on GCD. This information will set a Scholar apart from the rest when in a bind.

Umm no, you are just telling others how bad you are at playing SCH by doing that. Eos WD generates aggro and because how clueless she is at popping skills at the wrong time on Sic that can be like using Medica II before a pull.

Rouse Eos before Whispering Dawn. You might have to click WD an extra time to make sure she actually uses it.

If for whatever reason you want or have to stay away from the boss, then place your fairy near it (making sure she's not in front of it) so she'll still heal the tank. I've seen a lot of scholars stay at almost max range and keep their fairy by their side so she doesn't do anything. Be sure to put her back on Heel when you're done, if you move too far away she'll poof.

Scholar has really awesome mp recovery. Don't need your aetherflow stacks? Energy drain! Be sure to keep at least one stack though in case you need to throw out a lustrate or indomitability to save people's butts.

It becomes much easier to heal a fight once you learn its timing. You know party-wide damage is going out soon? Mitigate it with succor. Tankbuster incoming? Adloquium the tank. If it hits really hard you may want to virus the boss, too. But you have to be fast to put up that mitigation, chances are if you see the boss casting the move then you're already too late. Don't be afraid to use your cooldowns (either your fairy's or your own). Alternate between them at strategic moments if needed.

This is more of an arcanist thing, but you can set down shadow flare even if you turn your character around mid-cast... so if you want to do something useful while looking away from petrifaction/dragon's gaze/whatever then you can shadow flare.

Personally the only macro I have is to have my fairy cast Embrace on my mouseover target. It admittedly doesn't get much use but sometimes everyone around her is topped off, except for that one guy all the way over there. Or someone is missing just a tiny sliver of hp and it bothers me. Or I'm doing a fate or a hunt or something and I want to heal someone outside my party without healing them myself.

    definitly +1

this is what you should really work for / get used to - fairy management will seperate you from the pack... it's the key to become a top tier SCH (or SMN) – there are way to much player who arent recognizing how effectiv pets could really are, if they would micro-manage them...

While tying your fairy's skills to your own via macro is certainly not a good idea, I do get a lot of mileage out of having a completely separate mouse-over Embrace macro for those few times Lily gets lazy. It also helps control her placement somewhat - if you desperately want Fey Illumination on the tank, for instance, have her Embrace them first to make sure they're in range.

If I SCH, I generally place my fairy right behind the boss. Good distance to heal the tank on her own, and most of the party is in range for her aoe stuff, save maybe some caster. The awesome part is that fairies are inaffected by many aoe mechanics, so while I'm dancing around the field dodging pretty colors, the fairy still stays firmly healing the tank instead of tailing me across the daisy field.

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

The 3.2 patch allows us to macro ground targeting skills to a target now. Big quality of life improvement, especially for controller users.

    /ac "Shadow flare" <t>
    /ac "shadow flare"
    /micon "shadow flare"

    /ac "sacred soil" <t>
    /ac "sacred soil"
    /micon "sacred soil"

(Setting up macros like this will still allow you to cast the spells the normal way if you don't have anyone targeted.)

I also use similar macros. I prefer pseudo-queueing macros.
