Can we get a poll at the end of every content patch?

Ask them to add a survey after completing the Moogle side quests in Heavensward.. would be curious to see the results..

That and when you hit your 5000 Fates, if you still enjoy Fates.

They said they are listening to their people; judging how 3.0 was done (pretty much close to 2.0 for me and lots)

If it would ever make them realize that now's the time to bring new stuff or old stuff they talked about (Grand Company unlock with mercenaries, etc..) Instead of focusing to that never-ending glamour and iLvl which becomes obsolete after 1 month or less..

as dualgunner said, if that would increase content quality, count me in!!

That's a beta. Of course there would be a greater need for beta surveys. I do not want an in game survey that I'm forced to do. I read the forums.

Set up your own survey about the patch after every two months. I'll reply to it. Make a thread after each major patch. The developers already have enough sh*t on their player without having to make a survey that I bet half will troll anyways.

What is a beta?

Receiving feedback will likely have some troll responses, but I think most people would want to give serious feedback to the dev's. Making a survey really doesn't need to be hard, and compiling the data should be quite easy. Having the survey in-game would result in a much higher response rate, and would get a better view of what most people think. People go to the forums often because something upsets them, so having a forum survey will receive an inherent bias. Also, a forum survey is more difficult for the devs to get data from.

You know surveys are optional right? That aside ... the reason I said in game is because there is a lot of players who feel the need to be on the game 24/7 until maintenance.
They could put the survey in your Inbox or mog box whatever its called. Maybe under systems tab or they could put it in one the starting cities under the grand company stuff.

If you want to leave meaningful suggestions to the devs without going to the forums, do it yourself in game.

If you come to the forums, because you're mad and you want to rant, you need to find another outlet for your anger then the internet. Maybe try going out for a walk or go
cleaning your house. Something else other than getting angry at random strangers online.

I like this idea if only because it would likely get feedback from players who don't visit the forums. We forum goers are just a small slice of the whole community.

Leaving a suggestion is not the same thing as polling everyone. It results in the same issue as I said with the forums, you're only going to get a subset of players who are particularly bothered by something. For example, let's say there is a lot of people yelling for specs to be added to the game, the devs can see the suggestions and forums and be like "Hmm, lots of people want this. Let's add it." Meanwhile, if they had done an in-game poll, they could see, "5% of players want specs added, 30% don't care and 65% of players are opposed. Let's not add it." Forums and suggestions are a great way to get very skewed data from a vocal minority.

Further, leaving a suggestion would be a lot of text and take a lot longer for the devs to sift through. A multiple choice survey would be rather quick for the development team.

When I said, one is angry and goes to the forum, I do not mean they are angry about dying and vent (that does happen), but that they are angry about a particular design choice (like the relic quest line).

Sure, they can do some surveys about the game.
Through the launcher, after a certain time has passed in a major patch. For example; two months after the release of 3.2, players logging in through the launcher will get a message similar to an upcoming maintenance one, with the option to fill in a survey about 3.2 content.

There's absolutely no need to have an ingame survey popping up after every type of activity, as mentioned earlier in the thread. That type of polling is akin to beta testing, a phase which this game does not reside in.

If there's to be a poll, they shouldn't offer ingame rewards for it.
As people will take it blindly to just get their free stuff.

It should be left only to those that actually want to help the game and not themselves in the game.
