I meant more the subgenre of specifically getting stuck in a computer or virtual computer world.The subgenre is actually fairly old. The urexample of "transported to another world and get cheat powers" is pretty much Edgar Rice Burroughs' A Princess of Mars (1913/1917). A more modern but still old example would be the Joel Rosenburg's Guardians of the Flame series (The Sleeping Dragon was published in 1983) where a bunch of college students are teleported into a D&Desque fantasy world in their characters' bodies.
But the overarching genre is one of my favs, so..yeah
