Well money is also used as a source of power, and the political power would open up avenues for her to get more rare artifacts from outside Eorzea's borders. Such as the Sharlayans, Othard, maybe even Garlemald.Rowena as a syndicate member makes sense too. She is probably the most dominant merchant in northern Eorzea at this point and pretty much holds dominance over the antiquities market. I still think there is more going on with her and her motives than we have been shown. I wonder why she wants to get into politics though. That is more a play for power than wealth, even in Ul'dah.

Maybe but wealth and power, while connected, aren't exactly the same thing. Wealth Rowena has in abundance. A syndicate seat however is more than just an opportunity for wealth but represents governance. I guess my point is what is her motivation and intention. Is it just an avenue to gaining more wealth (which honestly Im not sure she needs to gain more wealth) or does she actually have a desire related to the governance of Ul'dah.
