Being Japanese myself, and also reading most of the magazines, and playing the Japanese version of the game, nowhere in the game nor in any of the official texts, nor in the common LS-talk, nor on the non-official 2ch forums, nor on the official SE forums anyone uses "エクセキューショナー" (Executioner) for 斧術士, or even the shortened 斧士.

The point is that Exc-related data was present in the data-mined stuff from October 2010 so I thought the distinction is relevant; it might hint at a future spedialization they have in store for the class.
