I agree, its a shame that it hasn't gotten the remake treatment as of yet, the game came out too close to the end of the PS lifespan I think, but it is still my favorite if only because my nostalgia goggles are on whenever I think about it.

Thinking I might make a new rogue character once I get multi-month resubscribed next week~ should be fun to play around in the rogue story wearing tantalus gear XD

I don't think it necessarily needs a remake, just a HD remaster.
The game was originally higher res, but because of PS1 limitation, it was down-scaled.

If they still have those files, they could easily just release a HD remaster.
And if it looks like that, it would still look great, today.

I can't speak for others, but for myself I was referring to a console remake. I want to play it like I did when it was first released. On a Playstation. Like I said, I'm just really old-school like that. It's one reason I don't like the Wii and RPG games. I don't want to stand/sit there and make like I'm swinging a sword around. That's not what I grew up with. :P I'm weird.

I've seen it thank you, that is not what i was talking about though as i was referring to a remake a la FFVII for the ps4.. so no, no one reads anymore.

I actually still have the original FFIX for the Playstation, it will be nice to have it on the pc but I prefer consoles when it comes to games honestly.
