Give us an actual Gauss Barrel, even if that's just some cheap lightning style effect on the barrel of the weapon. The current Muzzle is just silly and doesn't even work for 90% of the weapons...

When I see complaints about the MCH aetherconverter and Gauss barrel not being custom to each weapon it seems people fail to understand that both those items were given to us by the Skysteel manufactory. There has never been MCH before us and our few guildmates (as confirmed by our soulstone being blank). Guns have existed before MCH (pirates,yellowjackets,garlean,even Goblin and Gnath) so the guns we find are just that,guns. I know "because its lore" is always a flimsy excuse around here,but it is the case this time I think.

A gift from Stephanivien doesn't mean we can't give it a sweet paint job. It'll still do what it does under a coat of paint.

Personally, I don't mind that the Aetherconverter doesn't change appearance with our weapons, but I would argue that lore is a poor excuse. Lore is made by the developers and they can change it at their whim. Changing a major, well established, piece of lore is something they probably wouldn't want to do, but setting the lore of the Aetherconverter to change its appearance is as simple as inserting "...and it's fully customizable!" Into the dialog when we're given the equipment.
