^^ Completely agree, it could be far worse, and given that we have the range in which we can operate I just don't see the gripe. I agree with Rice, it would of been great to see more of a defining role in MCH that didn't make it Diet BRD 2.0, but unfortunately they didn't do much with it. I would of loved for it to be more like 11's Ranger and just all out DPS with some enfeeble abilities, but being artificially nerfed in DPS because we can hit from range during abilities where melee can't hit it and because we have a resource buff that really doesn't matter is just sad to me. I think that is more of the issue that people should be focused on rather then their ~1 sec cast timer that if you time right you can move even before the ability completes (usually around 90% it's a guaranteed shot).
Point is if SE said they were going to remove MCH's TP/MP regen and boost their procs to be on par with a melee or just higher % with more DPS OGCDs in place of garbage like dismantle and rend mind, I would rejoice.... 5% damage reduction is beyond a joke....
Oh and being one of the ONLY DPS classes to not have a SINGLE healing ability, or even a cross class for it.... It's just beyond me why this class doesn't do more damage. I mean if party is going south, we can't pull a DRG and try to save that last 1-5%, or even a clutch Second Wind, you're just dead.

It doesn't matter what you say, its still a jarring change to go from 2.0 bard to 3.0. There was no eventual change. There was no lead up, it just happened.

I personally don't see an issue with this. I don't think that every class needs everything, considering people believe that the classes could use differentiation. The question lies not with if you feel that MCH can afford it in their kit (They probably could, wouldn't break them either way or really change anything), but rather if you feel that it's necessary to *buzzword* homogenize a difference, even if it's negative.

^^ True but again my point isn't that I think it deserves a healing ability of some sort, as much as what I"m voicing is that IF they are going to have MCH be the only class with 0 Healing/Defensive abilities, you would think their DPS would be ramped up enough to compensate for the lack of healing/defense. Now don't get me wrong, I have no illusions that DRG parry up or MNK second wind is a very slight defensive trait that frankly doesn't mean much to a raid boss, but it's still SOMETHING. And any amount of HP back can mean the difference of a healer getting off a clutch heal on you or dying, not matter how you cut it. I'm all for not homogonizing classes, what I'm not all for is homogonizing them with BRD in a manner that indirectly makes them "Unique" in the negative sense. So much of MCH is like BRD so it doesn't overshadow it, BUT in trying to preserve BRD's unique cross classes and such, it makes MCH a weak and homogonized class anyway.
