If summoners have the pet glamour option, so should scholars.
There's no reason to give it to SCHs simply because SMNs are getting it. They're not the same Job, so there should be no expectation for them to get the same thing.

There is absolutely no reason not to give Scholar Pet-Glamours... The amount of work that would go into it pales in comparison to the amount of work for Egis... Eos and Selene are basic pallet swaps, and Scholars pet animations are far more basic than Summoners anyway, it would be incredibly easy to, for example, allow Scholars to only ever summon Eos (or rather, Lily) for both Summon and Summon II. Even giving Carbuncle the healer/support pet animations wouldn't be too much of a problem.

On the flip side, giving Carbuncle melee pet animations, plus Enkindle, and then giving each Egi a full set of mage/tank/melee pet animations is a lot of work. The tank and melee pet animations are far more flashy to begin with, plus none of the Egi are simply pallet swaps, they're all unique. You wouldn't be able to just give Ifrit-Egi Rock Buster for his tank animation, because that's unique to Titan. You'd need to work new Egi animations for other moves Ifrit uses (Eruption would be good for a mage Ifrit-Egi version of Aerial Slash, for example).

The whole point of a Pet-Glamour system is to give pet Jobs slightly more customization over their Job, there is absolutely no reason not to give Scholar the same thing. Scholar is a pet Job, and it would be far easier to give Scholar a wide array of pets than it would be to give Summoner the same thing.

Yes. Because the title of the topic is called "pet glamor", not "egi glamor".
Anyways, I wouldn't care if Schloars don't get the options because I am not one, but it would seem unfair.

"CNJ has an exclusive mount, so should every Healer get an exclusive mount too? "

It has nothing to do with glamour. Don't compare things that are not related in any ways...

Yeah, and by 'pet' the OP was referring to SMN Egis - in relation to what SE mentioned on the matter - as seen when you read the original post.

Unfair to who? SCH's weren't told they would get extra pets only to be shafted, but SMNs were. This is SE's attempt to make it up to them.

The point was that just because one Job gets something doesn't mean it has to be then given to every other (related) Job. Even more so when you understand the background behind why they're attempting to make this effort for SMN in the first place (which in my opinion, they shouldn't bother with, but they chose to back themselves into a corner like this so... we'll see if they even follow through in the end).
