One thing always bugged me about Glamour Prisms: Why five Grades for each type?

Handy for those who mass produce these, but it seems to completely miss the point and instead just perpetuates the problem. We need a way to reduce the need for so many items in the first place, not a way to make more of them.

Agreed, we should just make it simple and have one prism of each kind..not 5 different kinds..

they all use the same materials anyway lol

Which reminds me, I like how the Glamour system was originally designed so you couldn't "Trick" people into thinking you're a different class. And yet we have all this universal gear that are just alternative versions of Discipline specific gear. Like the Taffeta Loincloth or Light Steel Subligar set lol.

Uhm, if you're in a party they can see your class icon, and if you're not they don't typically care. So there was never "Tricking" anyone about your class. But what could have been an issue was a lvl 15 <Insert Class Here> borrowing a friend's old gear and glamouring his ilvl <Insert Higher Number Here> to his ilvl 5-10 equipment.

Preaty much. "But Kaiser, What about Black and White Mages?"

The answer, Game Lore. White Mage weapons are wood (ish) and Black Mage weapons are Metal (for the most part).

^ must point out that WHM & BLM have both gotten wood & metal staff's since re-launch... heck ant there a wand/staff that can be used by both? but becides that & only shed light on that to show just how "confused" ppl "could" be if they arn't smart enouf to look at the party list... I do agree that "item" bloat is starting to get unreal for me, now I don't craft as much as a true "omni-crafter" or horde gear like a glamoholic but even my retainers are now past the 70% full mark... gona have to toss gear I actually don't use or can get again easy, even if I like their look, sooner than I'd like to
