I agree with madeindar. Usually humility will get you accepted into groups. The Japanese accepts foreigners. But they do get very anxious when they can't communicate a strategy in a foreign language. Well, they are definitely friendly, cuz I'm in a jp fc myself and I definitely like the conversations in there, as opposed to rude en players.

Party finder can be your friend more than Duty Finder (99% of the time anyways)
sorry but this is not true for all servers. Some servers it is the opposite.

Pretty much what has been said, Duty Finder is garbage and you should never expect to clear anything outside of dungeons and story mode fights while doing it. Make a party finder that asks for people who are experienced with the fight and you'll have much better luck.

All servers use the same duty finder as long as they are on the same data center, so this is quite impossible. Maybe if you're on a japanese data center you'll have okay luck? But I tend to doubt it.

IIRC many of the japanese servers use PF as practice and DF as clears, that is what I have read at least. I have had more clears on Duty Finder minus savage and T13 than I have ever had luck in PF. So my point still stands..

That is actually the way it's supposed to be done, and why the latest primals are never on Duty Finder to begin with. Anyone can setup server only parties for cooperation and learning, parties for final liberation/clear when RavEX was relevant, and parties for farm only. Farm meant you had to have a clear title or get the boot. That doesn't happen in DF, so everyone is at the mercy of those with the least experience.

Too many in NA use the DF for "oh this is for practice, gg" or they barely know the fight at-all, but want to get carried. When in reality they just end up screwing over those who actually brought clear experience and want to help. In a way I consider it rude to just queue up DF for challenging extremes and going blind without some working knowledge as the content had been out for months. Especially when a gift could drop on their lap with a good premade or a majority clear/farm party, so if one did their homework it could be a successful lockout. Many in a LS of mine used to premade queue for T13 for fun before HW, and we'd help get a few clears. Not always, due to what I mentioned but I wish more people would think about that aspect.

Yeah, as others have said, DF on the JP servers is for when you know a fight. PF is for learning. It comes down to being courteous and respectful of others' time. If I see a PF learning party, I know what I am getting into. That expectation is not there for Duty Finder, I'm joining a random group of people to clear a fight. So the polite thing to do is not join such a group when you're going to waste others' time because you don't know what you're doing.

If you want to learn a fight make a PF group. If you can't do that because you play on a Japanese server and don't speak Japanese, well, whose fault is that?

Just want to enjoy the game!

This may be a stupid question, but it's an honest one, and not ment to offend or ridicual. But... why play on a JP server then? Why not join an english one? I was under the impression the JP servers were nicer then ours, but if they aren't, WHY? Why make teaming harder, when you can't understand the language, and the people aren't any nicer? I honestly... can't understand that.

Likely due to their real-world location. See, the 'JA servers' are not just closer to Japanese players, but they tend to be favored by oceania players, and folks stationed overseas as well. These non-Japanese players do tend to group in FC's and Linkshells on their personal servers that speak their language of choice, but still, once they enter the DF (as we all do), they get thrown into the general player-pool for that server group...where now they likely are the minority.

Keep in mind, the ping times from Australia to Japan vs. Australia to Montreal...etc and it makes sense. Also keep in mind, that the 'Japanese Servers' aren't specifically only for Japanese-speaking individuals, but rather the location of the servers....sometimes the players on them forget that.

I see both sides. The Japanese should be more inclusive and less quick to judge someone just based on language/nationality. On the other hand, it's hard to play a game that requires teamwork w/ people if you don't understand each other. And since, while it's true many Japanese might have basic English skills...it's also true that many English speakers don't have basic Japanese language skills, it is kind of unfair that the communication burden, is on them.

Ehhh all EXs can be fun in DF. Though some are more painful than others(ramuh, titan come to mind). But Ravvy ex? Nah that's easily DFable.
