The thread title in in no way misleading (china cleared AS4 within 4 days, that's a fact). As for the troll bait (that I labelled as such immediatly to prevent an obvious flame war, mind you), it was a direct reference to the threads that had been around FCoB's first down the first week. "2 easy git gud scrubs" & such. Sarcasm toward the "game 2 ez I'm 1337" egowarriors if you want

This is in no way my opinion nor the aim of the thread. This thread is merely an acknowledgement of a big display of skill with minimal gear.

goodness people, do you all have so little pride in what you achieve that you have to dissect what others do ?...they passed it in 4 days ? good for them. Does that make the fight, or that matter any fight ? easy ? no...what does it matter IF they made ? ..the important is..what YOU achieved not what THEY achieved

Take pride in what you do, have been done or achieved and recognize merits where its due without being jealous or be angry because your ego has been hurt...how silly this land can be

I seriously doubt you even went through this thread properly if you think people are 'jealous and angry' about this.

A team that's already cleared and had the fight on farm for months simply went on a Chinese server and cleared it there. People got it twisted and thought this was a first time Chinese progression group that achieved in 4 days what JP/NA progression groups took weeks, so were corrected accordingly.

It's mostly the people that take things way out of context just to fuel their side of the argument where everyone else is wrong, regardless of if you /s it or not.

"They cleared it in 4 days, what is wrong with JP/NA?!"
"They cleared it in i190, so ilvl isn't an excuse anymore!"

Nearly everything in their clear shows just how broken the fight is; checks are significantly lowered because of mechanics being ignored (and I recall the devs mentioned this not being the intended method of clear), their party composition is unorthodox by having all physicals and three melee (going by the fact they want to enforce a 2 melee/2 range setup), because even though they have ways of regen, casters are gonna have a brief pause in dps when they lose all their mana and have to manage around it. Plus, you don't see any AST or PLD there because of the severe optimization to dps.

It still doesn't stop people from spewing things like above though, and that the players are the ones in the wrong and not the developers telling us to git gud (when we're infact straight up ignoring the designs that they put in the game anyway)

Not really, as the people who did it already had it on farm for a while on another server.

If it would be a completely fresh group that startet to raid at all after the chinese release of Alexander, I would agree with that. But thats not the case.

I did read the title.....china beats A4S whitin 4 days right ?...my point is..why do you care ? what does it matter if, when, where, how and why THEY did it ? So jealous and with such an ego that is hard to conceive that maybe someone could do it ? also in no way this success makes A4S easy, or any fights for that matter, easy, if it was the case we would have done it too in such a time frame, and maybe some have but we dont know about it, they dont need to advertise it.

People should be happy for them and move on.

Worry about yourselves before jumping to conclusions, this community has far more important things to worry about then a* mere* achievement (be it the A4S), in my opinion.

This is where the contexts behind the clear doesn't match up. The world firsts do not know the fight mechanics (for example, the hand of P in A3s, and the sac strat in A4s) and had that as an obstacle, while that's not in play for the team that cleared it in china (whom have also done the fight already and possibly cleared it numerous time). You can't straight up take CN clearing it in 4 days for face value for what it is because it's not the same as those who went for a world first.

People are taking that out of context and are upset about it when it's used to downplay what other players have done (which is what happened at the beginning of this thread). You may have read the title but I feel like you're adding onto the discussion that you haven't read, which can really skew the meaning.

And also, he didn't even talk about reading the title, but the thread itself. I'm not trying to sound mean, but that's what I meant; there needs to be some reading comphrension so you're not straight up jumping to conclusions or talking for the wrong argument.

Fair play to them, the four days part is rather misleading as they have had it on farm on a JP server for a while now so they have considerable experience. But that shouldn't detract from the fact that these guys downed A4S in full i190, anyone who has cleared the fight knows the dps and hp checks on that fight are pretty serious.

The context - rather than the words - of the title is misleading -

Even I initially read it as:
* "AS4 downed in 4 days in China" - 'omg wow it only took China 4 days to figure out and down AS4, but took a long time for JP/NA to figure it out and win'
^This seems to be how it was initially taken... it's read into as if this were their first encounter with AS4, when it's really not... due to playing on other servers already. It's like a newspaper headline that alludes to something grand, so there was an expectation of something grand - that the 4 days is something exciting.

It's also read as a simple statement/fact:
* "AS4 downed in 4 days in China" - 'AS4 was downed for the first time *on Chinese servers*' (and not touching into the fact that it's not those player's first time downing AS4 - they were just the first to down it on the server(s)).

I think this is where the miscommunication is coming in - how people are reading the title. It's just a matter of difference - "Exciting news" vs "fact".

It's a world first for the Chinese servers in a matter of that server's statistic, but it begs to ask if it's really a 'world first' when the same players have already done it on a server that's already cleared. IE - it's not their first time clearing it, just the first time it's been cleared on a server.
If none of those players cleared it before now, then I'd be a little more excited for them.

Either way, I'm not downplaying them - I certainly couldn't do all that, and it did look like impressive teamwork - but rather trying to give a third person perspective into the debate. >.>

id be more willing to cheer on the first Chinese players who only just started the game rather then had months of play time, if they did it in the next 2-3 weeks then id flat out say they are really good at games but it likes a pro team coming in and taking the world first title despite having tons of experience, they were not rookies which is what annoying me about Mature's statements, saying that it was the best blah blah all other runs suck....not really they just didn't have the you must be ilvl 205 mentality like we do on our servers.

We prefer to over gear for encounters they do it with what they feel best with.

I can't wait for the dozens of threads and reddit posts following this talking about how the Chinese servers are so much better than the filthy baka gaijin west and how it needs to get it's stuff together.
