Bias in this case is the fact the as much as a I like Yoshi and the direction he's taking the game in, His use of the terms casual and hardcore, are merely marketing buzzwords. He is trying to reach the widest audience, say something is meant for hard cores and you will alienate a very large consumer base, say something is "casual friendly" and way more ears will perk up, regardless of what the content actually looks like. He wants to be seen as casual. not only that but just because he is a video game developer, that does not make him an expert. you are the one conferring that particular "acreditation" on him, no recognized independent body has done that.

but at this point it's 5 am where I'm at and talking to you is like talking to a brick wall. I can do keep doing it, but eventually I'm just going to start looking crazy.

Sony is a pretty prominent 3rd party origination backing Yoshi, and id say they accredited him and let us not forget the rigorous schooling he undertook along with degrees and past experience in the game industry... or does the accreditation need to come from god himself for you? o that's right you said recognized.

And let us not forget that Yoshi didn't just spout Casual as a buzz word he quantified it with not only an explanation but examples of mechanics that catered to casual play:

-Easier leveling
-leves
-Anima

again these are just some of what he stated catered to casual play.

I remember when I considered myself a hardcore gamer especially on MMOs....

then a few years ago I thought about it and realized I pretty much wasted several years of my life on time sinks in games just so I could be "better" than casuals.. Missed out on a lot of things. Can't see how anyone would want to do that anymore, haha.
