Hardcore is not a dirty word

In a time when many games feel a bit watered down in order to appeal to a wide market, it's refreshing to play an unabashedly hardcore and complex game. Is it so much to ask that SE known for their hardcore content, as shown in early FF11, deliver the same type of game seeing as few companies do.

I am not against casual games i am just against a hardcore series going casual to appeal to a wider market. Hardcore games are becoming more difficult to find in this sea of casual games. Is having an MMO that is hardcore really such a bad thing

Edit: to clarify i am not stating that FFXIV is casual trash i never once associated casual games = bad. What i stated was why is the series evolving from hardcore to casual? The obvious answer i know already, more moneys!

And for everyone saying durrrr what hardcore games has SE made, well we can start with FF11 pre WOTG and abysea, which as asserted in my original post why does it have to go from hardcore to casual?
