You've derailed the BLM rotation thread now...You, Sir, are missing the point. People come to MMO for the social aspect not to be told how to play the game and if you do your part good enough even if it is a bit unusual, then no one should complain. It would be boring if everyone battled the same and knowing SE there is more than one way. You must be one of those Elitists cause I never called anyone thus. But this is all I will say about this before it turns into a argument forum which I have seen plenty of times as well...

Actually it was a general thread made BY a BLM but about people letting them choose their own style. You can read the first post if you do not believe me. Yes she says it AS a BLM but the subject was not telling people how to play.

Nope I will get it back on track cause he failed to see my point as well.
I was actually going to make a post asking if enochain was still the top rotation (I haven't played blm since I cancelled my alt account a couple months ago, but I was able to keep it going nearly 100%), whenever I am in a dungeon, and even primal ex pts blms never seem to use enochain and just go back to the normal arr f1/3 rotations. I am to the point of being surprised if I see an enochain at all and the last 2 times I have they spammed bliz4.
So if I do bring my blm back up on this char enochain is still the rotation of choice? And up to how many mobs before you revert to the f2/flare rotation of days past, cause I see that a ton on 2+ mobs still too.

I made a joke. The community ignored the toxic player refusing to learn how to play their class and then the thread became how do you get better and people helping each other.
Then you de-railed the helpful thread by going back to the toxic past where you want to play sub-optimally and make the rest of your dungeon party pay the price.

The trouble is, during most non boss pulls, it's too hard to keep enochian up due to down time between mobs and with 3+ mobs it's better to do F2 and Flare anyway.
Boss fights though, you should be casting F4 as much as humanly possible. You want three rotations out of it as by the end of the third rotation Enochian will be up for cast again.
To start with you should try getting 5,4,3 then bump it up to 5,4,4 and 6,4,4.

Ok, that's what I thought.
The horrible thing is even in bosses I never see enochain used so I wasn't sure. Blm always just spam f1/3. Even in things like Bis ex or Rav ex where I always thought it would be optimal in some situations.
I asked once if enochain was nerfed and no longer good when we weren't making the dps check (this was awhile ago of course) and got ripped a new one by the blm. But his excuse was that it was 'too hard' and 'barely makes a difference' and then after a wall of text about how he plays his job as optimally as he felt he should I was called an elistest and he left. The whole pt was dumbfounded since it was a simple and innocent question that wasn't intended to be snobbish in the least and everyone but the blm took it like that. That sensitivity can be real sometimes.
This. Enochian during trash pull is useless, so the best is AoE and finish last mob with 2.X rotation. For the Boss fight, I think if some players stick on the 2.X rotation, it's because if you start the Enochian rotation, then have to dodge AoE, your brain try to evaluate where you were in the rotation and if there is enough time to cast another F4 or if you have to cast F1 or B3/B4, and then you are just doing nothing and you feel you are not doing your job as a DPS. So with the old rotation, you have the feeling you are doing something useful. I don't totally control the Enochian rotation right now, so sometime, when I'm confuse after dodging, I just naturally come back to the 2.X rotation a while, then try again the Enochian.
