A3s Solo Tank \o/ [Lich][DSIS]

I would have a bit more faith in the community. Most players reading / watching will realize with the way A3S is designed, it's more optimal to go double tank and that this was intended more of a challenge than naught.

Mechanically, Turn 5 and Turn 9 did little to encourage any double tank scenario so it became optimal to take a 5th DPS to increase kill speed. Faster kills = less healing requirement, less potential risk, etc etc.

So, I don't think you have anything to fear in this respect.

Well faith in the community has slipped quite a bit since certain threads have popped up. Mainly ones the have a dig at us healers but hey cant stop those ill just ignore the healer sections... Yes i know turn 5 and turn 9 didnt challenge us in any way to require 2 tanks, but A3s seems more ideal with at least the warrior, i mean having sunder on the drg really isnt ideal they could have a better skill to increase dps.

P.S On an offtopic note what was the Parser used? That looks alot better then the first one that popped up where you have to be in windowed mode.

Uhh because it's fun to try out different things ? Like why are you so against this ? It doesn't have to be ideal they wanted to have fun and challenge themselves.

Im not against it, just some raid groups on Lich can be pretty, well horrible about your class and raiding. Join the PF at your own peril this was my experience with Ast. No i commend the group for doing this out of the norm style raid, but im going to criticize the choice to go solo tank if it becomes the norm.

@OP great job on that fight, its very impressive the way you handled tanking the hands with the DRG.

Like I said, most people who are looking at this will understand A3S will most likely be optimally done with a standard setup of 2 tanks / 2 healers / 4 DPS and not a 1 tank / 2 healer / 5 DPS scenario. It was designed as a challenge and they completed it and wanted to show it off. Nothing more and nothing less. We need more people like the OP because people complain about challenge in this game and I imagine the vast majority of those people don't realize there are self-challenges they can impose to test the limits.

In terms of healer discussion, I imagine you're discussing the whole DPS-Healer dynamic. I won't get into it as I've talked that topic to death myself on various soapboxes but it'll always be a polarizing discussion in the game given the nature of game. Its best to try to ignore the stubborn stonewalls and talk with the people who are more open (even if they may disagree with you) since they won't be asinine or belligerent about it.
