As a tank, why am I expected to heal?

Today I got kicked from a Fractal run because I wasn't throwing out pots at the BLM... <snip>
That's not all, last week I got kicked from a Bismarck run because I didn't have Clemency on my DRK... <snip>
Why is it like this? I signed up to play a tank, not a healer.

My only thought is; Yes, a s a Tank shouldn't you be doing DPS instead if healing?

The only drink Dark needs is strong liquor shot (ether) between pulls. Hence your 50~60 quests start in a bar. Warrior self heals by bathing in the blood of fallen enemies and drinking tears soaked in broken hopes and dreams. Paladin can't cross class clemency, because its to busy doing high DPS numbers that cause the other DPS to vote kick out of jealousy.

My conclusion is, how are you using pots on other people? Or is it the other mandragora leaves that you're tossing around? Because that healing tank sounds like its in another game.
