FF14 is not Everquest though and just because they do it does not mean FF14 should follow suit. FF14 has a clear cut line on preserving their class look by their physical appearance. Square has always done that when it came to class specific FF games.If classes identity is fully designed by just the clothing/armor they wear.. then we have serious issues with classes.
Everquest II for example, classes were identified by their "cool" abilities they had. They had fun spells that changed the look of the class. Shadowknight's could have hatred literally coming from their hands and Berserkers in combat literally looked like they had fury coming from them. No separate "glamour"
If classes are that boring, then we have an issue that isn't just glamour.
