New options - we are in 2011!

I played the same mithra in FFXI for 6 years. Loved it at first but at about half way through, i really wanted to change my hair lol. I really hope they give us Barber shops at some point ^^

Race change would be cool too. I dont think I'd change race myself though.

I'm against name change unless theres a way to find out the old name. Maybe when you check them it says something like "Name Two... aka Name One" or a listing somewhere... idk lol

Pets would be cool. Maybe have them in instances. Maybe raising non combat pets could give you small buffs like having hog house furniture did in FFXI.

But Most of all i would love to see barber shops ^^!!!

True, I am probably just being over worried about the idea of name changes. ^^; I can just imagine that it would make it a lot easier for annoying/mean/drama-prone people to stir up trouble. Of course people can always just start a new character to do that, but when you are higher ranked, not only is starting over very unappealing, but it is unlikely that you'd be hanging around with the same group on your R1 character that you were playing with on your, say, R40 character.

Name changes sure are appealing though. After a month of playing, I decided that my characters name was blah and started over with a new one. >.< I'm glad I made that decision when I did though, no way I'd do that now.

What of those options is "wow fluff"? I don't think any of them actually originated from wow. All of them originated from other games and have been copied by Blizzard.

In any case the only one I would seriously disagree with is the name change. Too easy to grief people or generally behave in an unappropriate way, then change name in order to get the slate clean.

People should always retain their identity, unless they give up the whole character.

This said, none of the options listed should be a priority, IMHO.

I agree with the above changes. I can't say I would use them all, but I already wish I had the option to do a server transfer. Changing race might be nice to have on a situational basis as well. The barber shop and extra hair cuts would also be great to have.

The other stuff would probably not be used a whole lot by me personally, but all the power to those who might find them useful.

Unlikely, the way this works in many mmorpgs is the name changes on everything, including people's blacklists. As names are usually tied to an account variable that identifies the character it associates with.
