Ah ok, I see what you mean. To be honest though, when they announced the Strife outfit on the vet awards thing, some people actually bought the 100 something day subscription just so they can get it. I guess I wouldn't mind it either way. Its like when the lightning event started the first time and I seen almost everyone wearing lightning and snow stuff (I don't like FF13 series)
For me, I didn't mind it much as I know it would just be a fad that would die down after a bit (in which it did) and the outfts didn't look that bad, also I think the Guardian Corps FC started that day when it happened : O. After all I'm sure that bike won't be able to fly so people will most likely use it only in safe zones and PvP where flying isn't implicated so we may not see it as often....then again that magitech could fly ( ._.)

Im fine with an original bike but it would be a waste of devtime imo cause im fine with the current bike. If they want to make an ffxiv original (steelworks, ironworks, w/e), more power to them.

I like the idea of the bike. Would it scale with your characters size or like the other mechanical mounts stay always on their own size? Would like to see micro-bikes for lalafels! *-*

Too lazy to dig up for the source, but I vaguely recall Yoshi-P mentioning one of the reason he didn't want to implement the bike is because of the size/speed ratio. It will look weird if it maintain the same speed (think behemoth) as the other mounts but it will be unfair if only the bike get a speed boost. However, now that we gotten the tier 2 speed boost, I wonder if that is sufficient to bring this up onto the table for debate again?
