you said a fantasy world has a limitation based on in game, which is completely preposterous as the developers are who make the game and its rules. just as easily as saying something can't be done they can make it be able too.

But there are limits in FFXIV, a prime example being that we can't kill Ascians through normal means. Is that not a limit for lore reasons? Yes, the development team can change that at anytime. "The Ascian didn't eat his morning breakfast, so can now be killed through regular means", but that's not only poor writing but it contradicts the previously set limitations. Every piece of literature, film, and video game has their own set of rules on what can and cannot happen. They break some rules of reality while imposing another rule to make the story more believable within that realm.

actually my whole arguement stems down to the game isn't real we are we can put rules in there and then ignore them as they mean only what we let them.


as i personally don't play for logic as to me there is none, you can say this is why this is this way or this is why we can do it but it's still a lie not true we just pretend it is to immerse ourselves more.

That's what I'm arguing, the gist of it is that it's "stupid". Final Fantasy is nothing if not for its story or lore, one of the primary reasons I lost interest in WoW is how stupid the lore has become "because magic". Travel to an alternate timeline? No problem, it's fantasy. Demon that you killed is back? It fits into the lore of WoW, but everyone and their mother knows it's nothing but to bring back subscribers, to the point of Legion being dubbed the fanservice expansion.

I don't have anything against the flying Adamantoise, at least not to the point of others. It's like the fat chocobo or afro, it'll be used for a week and then forgotten for the most part. I do find it hilarious how the developers were too lazy to make sense of it and attach rockets to it, so instead it shoots flame out of its legs? Whatever, my point is that some of these forum people would sooner turn this to Tron because "lol lore sucks go away lore nerd this makes sense Allagans" and FFXIV is on the path to it, I hope FFXIV's Japanese community has more sense as he listens to them more.

i don't know using float to make them fly doesn't sound out of place to me but we also have never seen the true limit to what float does as we only see it lift us slightly off the ground as no ff has had flying before (like we have here) then you have the garleans which is as technologically advanced as we are so cars/motorcycles are all possible so them being added isn't a huge stretch other than how did we steal it/keep getting more fuel. (course float is just a theory it could as easily just be because)

then you have other things as you said *tron* personally if i could get a game that was literally a game where i could get anything anywhere that would be cool and i would jump ships in a heart beat. xD but that is just me.

i have seen the picture, while yes it is in fact a gamera reference (the body position in all) that doesn't mean it can't be float as there is no float spell in game so what it would actually look like is unknown.

(also i did edit my post to say it was just a theory)
