see i do agree that the athstetic doesn't fit eorzea itself, and the idea of a weird legged bike kinda sounds interesting but this is the counter, the world is much bigger then Eorzea, we know of a massive continent to the west that we don't know the name off (thanks to the world and it's texture at the end of 3.0) and we know of garlamald a large nation to the east with many more nations and lands beyond that, while eorzea may seem primitive and utilising magic, we don't know what the other nations of the world truly are besides the ancient allag who were highly technological, the garlians who are currently technological and even the goblin beast tribe which is primitive but utilises a form of automotive and generic based engine, and we know they can utilise the simple concept of a combustion engine since there is cerillium, also rubber is in the world as well, but even then it could be propelled on steel wheels. theres a lot in the world of Hydolyin, that can explain beyond the reaches of eorzea. not only this but the difference in ways it could be developed can also explain the slow speed showing that such technologies art focused on so they make them to be lazy or to pull heavy objects without animals. not only all this, but as i said, we don't know of the world beyond garlamald nor some of the ancient civilisations, we do know that eorzea is heavily magically adapt, but the rest of the world isn't, since the well spring of aether is in mor dhona. so for all we can tell the sandy continent to the southwest, could use bikes with cog wheels to travel in the sands. (this continent was mentioned during the 1st anaversry)
