I feel like there should be a quest on "paper tanking" to prepare all Dps/healers for the inevitable moment in which they are forced to do it lol.

It's called DF - the first time you meet that tank!

In cases like this, though, I usually try to, very politely, inform the tank that they are making mistakes.

I try, then you get some special snowflakes that pull everything, fail to hold aggro at all, get everyone killed, chew out the healer and everyone else, then go about how they are run selling and how they have a4s on farm and how everyone is worse then them...
