c) a "workstation" that gives DoH a small bonus to their crafting efforts if they do it there. Would increase immersion levels very much and make housing more than mostly vanity.

This is actually already in the game - you can get special workstation furnishings for each Disciple of the Hand, and once set if you click on them give a temporary crafting bonus. My FC's house has an area specially set up with the workstations for just such a use - they not only look good but serve a practical use for FC members as well.
