^I concur. It was clearly made to not be taken seriously, given it's rough and 'unfinished' nature in the image, and as others have already said, it does not fit Eorzea at all/ Stuff like magitek armour works because it does fully fit the setting and the lore (it easily fits into Garlean design ethics). Cloud's stupid AC bike on the other hand, is too futuristic and downright alien looking, and would look far too out of place in a world that still uses sailing ships as it's main form of transport (airship travel is actually restricted and limited, although that is changing) and as someone else said, merchants still use pack chocobos for most land transport.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, fanservice is all well and good but eventually a line has to be drawn for logic and consistency's sake instead of just sticking something in 'because it's from a popular FF game.'

This is a problem I'm seeing. Does every one think it's impossible for there to be a MAGITEK Bike with out it being The Fenrir Motorcycle from FF7? That's a completely stupid stance considering THE DEVS ARE TRYING TO MAKE A TURTLE FLY!!!!

Come on, they were using the Fenrir bike as a place holder since it already had a 3D Render they could work with. Considering that bike was only ever used once in FF7 and showed up. What, 4 times in the AC movie? I think they could give it an original spin. It certainly wouldn't be as hard to justify as a Flying Friggin Turtle.

i always find it funny that some people who say they dislike it when other ff items are put into ffxiv tend to be wearing the strife set (ff7) the wild rose set (ff2) to they love there magitek (ff6) or there ADS mount (ff4 AY, it is the CPU boss) just to name a few :P

yea see this is another thing i find funny, a fat obese chocobo can fly a turtle and a GOBBUE will soon fly and everyones like oh thats fine

but the second you mention a bike that could be redesigned to fit the garlians or the allagahns or the machinist/iron works, and people are losing there minds saying it isn't possible.

some people don't seem to like the fact that some people would like something like this, and if they make it cash shop then they don't need to ever worry, and if it was implemented watch how many people who complain earn it and use it more then anyone.

hell i remember the fact that slepnir everyone seemed to be massively negative on the forums, same with twintania with a lot saying it was lore braking. but they were requested :/

I think some of the people on these forums are a joke though, and ultimately are the reason we cant have nice things. That or they just love to hate stuff openly cause its "cool" to do so.
There's already stuff in this fantasy game that doesn't "fit" but if you're worried about what should not be in a fantasy game... you should prolly stick to your fps games... oh wait they do the same thing... zombies and shit.
