Because I want to try everything, solely for the purpose of being able to be called on to fill any role. The perks are nice, and that's part of the reason why I started tanking. The thing that makes me keep tanking is the adrenaline rush of being the only thing between a boss and the party running around like lunatics, as well as the combination of simplicity and complexity in the tank role. Holding the attention of enemies is pretty simple, but you can do so much more, not just to damage enemies, but to help yourself survive. It makes me feel invincible... until healers let me get down into triple digits of HP and I panic.
Because it feels good to be always in demand and have some weight to swing around in case the DPS start to muck up and give you lip.
Oh, and the cash you get from daily roulettes.
The demand for tanks is a nice benefit, you do feel a little special knowing the guys you're playing with probably waited for you to join them.

Uh, what actually GOT me into tanking (and any other class too, btw) was that I wanted to understand how they work so I could properly rant abou-.....I mean explain to newbies how their class works..![]()

- Fast duty timer
- Bonus money as tank
- On Void Ark, there's no loot competition

For me, I like the feeling of protecting the others from the monsters with heavy armour. I also like when I get newbies so I can teach and guide them through the dungeons.
Queue times, glamour, and role flexibility so I can better help my contacts and friends.

I tank to see how it's like. I also like protecting others...and because there are so many tanks who think they're "DPS".....as well as not having the right gear on.(¬_¬)
