Company Seals for your own chocobo THATS IT?!

You could of thought of SOMETHING creative(like every other damn game in the franchise has done) for a quest, while we rent them in the meantime

Edit: Sorry for being rash in making this thread. I am going to assume each Company with have an accompanying quest to explain chocobos, and the rentals will also have something to say. They just didnt have to mention it in the notes. Real sorry

However you have to do quests to get seals. Not the same I know but it's not like they're just handing it to us outright.

yeah, i was expecting some sort of a nice lengthy quest too. This is unfortunate, too easy.
I also have 3k stashed without having done much.

In order to acquire a personal chocobo, adventurers must:

1) Officially enlist in a Grand Company (achieve a rank higher than recruit).
2) Acquire a chocobo issuance for 3,000 company seals (price subject to change)

On top of that, I don't have any more quests to do for the Grand Company I'm joining, and I'm still a recruit. So, it appears we'll have to rank up first.

you have to attain a certain rank, who knows how many quest you need to complete to get that rank. my guess is one.

I understand this but, the idea of simply trading in seals for a chocobo seems terribly out of place when the NPCs from the game have told us there was a shortage of birds. Suddenly there's enough for every single player in the game?
This is a perfect chance for them to tell us why this happened and how it was fixed.

They are called personal chocobos, but the banners on the chocobos make them "company chocobos" in reality.

Future choco breeding for true personal chocobos is planned no doubt.

My guess is that enough players yelled "MOUNTS NOW OR /RAGEQUIT" that reality was changed.

No large project can ever avoid the quality triangle rule.

This game was released early because SE valued time and cost over quality (completion). Oddly enough, many players are acting in exactly the same way.

We have the same choice:

Pick one to suffer:

• Cost: pay to play - get stuff faster and a better content
• Time: wait for changes - play for free [for now] and and better content
• Quality: weak content - play for free [for now], get stuff fast

I choose to be patient.

This is just a sign that we'll definitely have Chocobo breeding. Just wait for the hard part and enjoy the horsebirds...
