You really do seem to have something against SE adding more story to this game don't you?

again you are taking your own opinions and making them fact. i Could care a less about the story. all the MMOS i have played have been about the endgame and thats what has kept me playing.

People are different and do not want everything YOU want all the time. I want to travel faster and not wait on a boat or have a stupid quest that adds nothing to the chocos. Thats what YOU want. the only hypocritical person here is you.. There does not have to be effort and story in everything. Chocos are a faster means of travel and that is it.

This is Final Fantasy not Everquest, not WoW, not Rift. Final Fantasy is a game about stories. It did not become the largest RPG franchise in history by sacrificing detailed stories for fast and short lived battle content.

Why should we have any? Do you have to be a certain age (rank) or pass a test (quest) to ride a bus or boat? Same applies here.

Again as Yoshi has said 1 million times they are gonna add content to chocos. We can breed them, fight with them. have them walk beside you, get different color in the future. THAT conent should have a story behind it and lore i get that.

But people this is just a faster means of travel. thats it!. it does not need lore.

well its not the largest MMO in history WoW is and guess what they been doing about story and content over there........

No one is saying it should be hard. We are saying is should be SOMETHING.

You have to do quests to achieve recruit status within a company ... (there are already at least 2 mandatory ones, and they might add more to reach the rank of recruit).

I'm not here to participate in a fight about WoW, it is the biggest MMO because it's the easiest MMO. I personally would not like FFXIV to follow in WoWs footsteps. You don't need 4 million fake subscriptions to make money on an MMO.

Those quests have nothing to do with Chocobos. There is already existing lore that states there are not enough Chocobos left in the world for everyone to have one. This needs to be resolved. A simple quest could have easily done this.

A Personal Chocobo is a reward to be earned. People who do not put in the minimal effort have rentals.

That'd be fair to say, but if you go on WoW and ask people what the story is about, about 90% of the community will say, "Who cares?".
