Why is "It's something to do" apparently a valid defense?

Or people just enjoy it and don't want it changing? I don't know what's so hard to understand about this. Why can't we simply enjoy something? It's a counter argument in itself. Some of us like it, some of us don't.

Would you really mind if SE added actual content related to the relic (quest and specific bosses) or made improvements to the game design of FFXIV ?
