I see this statement, or something like it, in every forum thread where dissatisfaction is expressed.
I am curious to know just exactly what people mean when they say "relevant" and "decent replay". There must be some objective standard to measure against -- perhaps something in another MMO or RPG they're remembering?
Rather than read yet another thread that devolves into "white knight vs black night", I ask you all to provide examples of what you would consider "relevant content", or "decent replay value".

That not everyone will be happy is no excuse to not give enough effort. I think we all wanted SE to try a little harder, or time it a little better than the moment when we were talking about the content being played out and then springing this on us.That is the point I tried to make earlier. It does not matter what SE comes up with. They could have created a whole new set of 10 trials that you had to succeed but each one as difficult as AS4 and people would complain it is too difficult and takes too long. No matter what you do someone is going to complain.
Create an entire new quest line, with little grind - people be done in a day and say they are bored
Create challenging contact - People complain and states its too hard and takes too long.
What we have now - People complain because it takes too long and is boring.
Again what time frame is acceptable to complete this type of quest?![]()

If I knew the answer to that question I would be making my own MMORPG and would have as much subscribers as wow (which managed to do things well from vanilla to WOTLK).I am curious to know just exactly what people mean when they say "relevant" and "decent replay". However, FFXI sure did manage to get some things right in regard to the replay value of the content (mostly due to the amazing battle system of the game, which made people play their classes differently depending on the content and which classes they were playing with).
But, as a general rule, replay value is attained when each time you run a specific content, the experience is different. League of legends is an immensely popular game because every match is unique.

I would like expert roulette to have more then 2 dungeons as a possible choice to get but other then that no don't really get bored running them.
I was fine with most of the previous grinds (aside from atma)That is the point I tried to make earlier. It does not matter what SE comes up with. The "books" one was my favourite. Since each book had a diverse range of requirements and you were always doing something different.
I'd even be cool with something like "do every current dungeon 5 times"
The current Anima stage can be done in about 40 days if you do nothing but roulettes for tomestones each day, which is about 2 hours of daily playtime. Obviously, you can get it done faster if you go hog wild and grind Alexander and such, but as a baseline, it doesn't take much longer than a month with relatively casual effort.
Well with todays gamers just can't keep them happy SE is pretty much on the losing end any either way cause people seem to want content that can be beaten in a week or two and then they will complain about there nothing to do. So it usually ends up in one of two ways.
1: SE creates long grindy content that people complain that takes to long and boring and they unsub.
2: SE creates shorter more "fun" content that people blow through and beat and then complain there nothing to do and unsub.
Remember when titan HM was the hardest part of doing a 2.0 relic?
People complained and now this is the crap storm we got. When you take the bite out of any and all (bar savage) content, the only thing left to create a "sense" of difficulty is super long grinds. This is what you guys wanted, a casual weapon that is max ilvl without having to step foot into any meaningful fights. You guys made your bed, lie in it.
people didn't complain because titan HM was hard. They complained because SE's server technology is backwards to the point where there were a ton of youtube videos showing people get hit when they weren't near any AOE.Remember when titan HM was the hardest part of doing a 2.0 relic?

If titan hard actually worked for everyone, I doubt many people would have complained.
