you guys went overboard with this new relic

Most don't mind the grind, but having us do stuff we already have(dungeons from 2.5-.3.0) before makes us question what was really planned during the past few months, whether they do have our best interest in mind. What really is new aside from the i210 skin, i170-i200 has the exact same skin as Eso.

Note: I'm very neutral about the whole thing, its christmas soon and I don't want anything game related to ruin it.

On-topic, they only went overboard with its last step (especially the HQ specialist crafted part).
But yeah, it is excessive...

That is in a populated server with veteran crafters. In a small server those things are ALOT more expensive.

And this is the only part of the grind that sort of frightens me. I expected a huge Gil sink somewhere in here, and I'm not surprised by it at all. I was honestly just more curious to see what we'd be spending money on; it was hardly a question in my mind.

But I'm still curious as to why they decided to do this again. Granted, it does give crafting some semblance of meaning, but it also effectively locks a lot of players out.

I used to be on a very small server, and I actually stopped working on my 2.x relic when I saw how much Gil it would take. The books and light grind didn't stop me; it was the astronomical cost of it because my serer was so small. A handful of crafters made the endgame/glamor gear, and they set the prices stupidly high for everything. So anyone who tried to just level a crafter and gatherer themselves went broke doing so, and didn't necessarily get all the gear they needed. It was a vicious, never-ending cycle.

36 million total is the highest I have seen (which is my server)

So i am going to grind out to Ilevel 200 even though I have my eso. After that, I am done. I am not paying anyone for a weapon that should be obtainable with time only NOT GIL!

The sea of pointless tears is real. first relic and zodiak required crafters, if you cant really afford to buy stuff from market board, maybe do what smart people do and gather the mats and look for crafter friend to make it or bloody WAIT for prices to drop!!!! Don't whine about crafters if you tunnel vision yourself on content

Reuse of content has been part of relic, ALWAYS! Atma, Animus, zodiak and zeta all recycled old content, people cried, people got over it. First stage is to repopulate fates of hw, second stage to repopulate leveling dungeons of hw and final stage to repopulate the rest. Theres so many ways to do the final stage making it the best step ever requiring zero rng and multiple ways of obtaining items. Reason for some of this recycling is YOU PEOPLE! tunnel visioning yourselves into one kind of content in a game thats allows you to do everything in one character and eventually abandoning earlier stages making newcomers have harder time. Cry whatever you want. If you want 210 weapon, either get good and clear savage or just shut up and grind.

I can do the grind part. I refuse to do the crafting part which is the POS part of this. I hope SE sees this and fixes it.
