The glamour(true endgame) and housing items are hella expensive here tho.


Stuff is now 250k or less, barring kingcakes 300k and francesca 500k. The mats for this stuff is very cheap/easily gathered and the craft itself is babies too. Go out and mingle.

That is in a populated server with veteran crafters. In a small server those things are ALOT more expensive. Thus your ability to make the relic is also heavily based on your server's population & economy. This was raised many times in other threads especially those in a smaller server & people's response to that was " oh just server transfer.", that is a terrible solution, server transfer should never be an option while bigger servers do prove to have its advantages.

Balmung has 3 times the population as siren,jenova etc. This was released just last month.

I see. I need to rally for less expensive glamours and housing items, trying to get that perfect glamour or best looking house could even make the rich bankrupt

Besides the specialist locked recipe & gil needed I think or the grind I believe its something more that is causing the outrage. Although most of the constructive and valid points are being buried by senseless whining, many players have voiced out what is really the genuine problem.We were promised something different during live letters.Reused content that we have been already doing it during Pre HW and during 3.0 hundreds of time, although it fixes the current issues at the moment such as dead fates in HW maps, Alexander NM being dead it shouldn't be something throw into relic, well at least to many it seems unethical.

And this is the only part of the grind that sort of frightens me. I expected a huge Gil sink somewhere in here, and I'm not surprised by it at all. I was honestly just more curious to see what we'd be spending money on; it was hardly a question in my mind.

But I'm still curious as to why they decided to do this again. Granted, it does give crafting some semblance of meaning, but it also effectively locks a lot of players out.

I used to be on a very small server, and I actually stopped working on my 2.x relic when I saw how much Gil it would take. The books and light grind didn't stop me; it was the astronomical cost of it because my serer was so small. A handful of crafters made the endgame/glamor gear, and they set the prices stupidly high for everything. So anyone who tried to just level a crafter and gatherer themselves went broke doing so, and didn't necessarily get all the gear they needed. It was a vicious, never-ending cycle.

36 million total is the highest I have seen (which is my server)

Hey, can you link the source to this? I just found an identical image with a different vertical axis showing the average close to 20k per server instead of 5k as your image suggests. Both are just imgur links, and I cannot find the original.

It said it was uploaded 2 months ago and for October 2015. It literally looked identical (same bar heights etc) but with a different axis value. I guess one of them may have been modified. I was just curious because one suggests the current pop is 320k subs and the other 4x that at 1.3 mil subs.

Wow... everyone appears to be very salty right now regarding the Relic and arguments. Perhaps this video could lighten the mood a bit and put a smile on everyone's faces?

Haha funny video, though the part in it where they say some 200 and 205 weapons are better is very incorrect. Even Ninjas, which arguably is the worst with the horrid stat weight of skill speed for NIN and high stat weight of CRIT, is better to go with the Relic than with Thordan EX weapon. I did the math in another thread, but basically the Relic is roughly 11 DEX worth more than the Thordan. It's not as good as an increase as others, but it's still better.
