I'd love for them to come back as well.

They will probably add them to the mog station at some point. The real question is when? They've been really silent about this, and lots of people would gladly buy the lightning and snow costumes (it's not like they wouldn't profit from doing this).

There's really no reason not to put them up there, except for superficial reasons such as "ugh, everyone would be running around with lightning's hair, i hate it" or "i hate the mog station, they shouldn't put anything in there ever"

Don't forget the "It makes me feel special argument" Which makes me think they should add it even more...

Honestly while there are a million threads on the issue, half of the reason there are is because we've had absolutely no word from the devs or community reps over whether they'll even consider putting the old Lightning event items (outfits, weapons, and clothes) in the Mog Station at some point in time. Even a simple yes or no would alleviate part of the problem with all of these threads constantly coming up.

Me personally, I say throw them in the station already so people can finally stop asking (and subsequently people can stop being annoyed that people are asking). Not to mention I'd love to have the hair for my current character who was made way past when the last strike landed.

Thing is, at one point the community reps (I wanna say it was Bayohne, I could be wrong it was a long time ago DID respond, saying they had no future plans to do it again, after the second event, and they turned around and ran it again during the summer (I wanna say i t was the 1 year anniversary?) so just because a rep says something, doesn't mean jack all. I say throw the event up again, who cares? It's not like it'll take away from dev resources to flag some already-made data again

You have a point, but this is more of a discussion for them putting it in the Mog Station is what I was speaking of. We've had literally no word yes/no/maybe/probably not about it, which I think is something that's agitating some people who would really like to get the items.

And yeah, honestly I agree, either throw the event up every year or so along with all the old spinoff events, or just throw the items in the station and let us be done with the entire thing. The resources are in the game either way, so it isn't like it'd be overly difficult to do either or.

Much as I'd like to get it for my alt account, I just don't think it's happening.

Lightning Returns was just released on PC and if they were ever going to run the event again, that was the time to do it, but as you're aware, that didn't happen so it seems very unlikely the event it self will ever run again, it just wouldn't make any sense with nothing linking to it.

Likewise they could have added it to the cash shop a long time ago, but if they were going to do that then they would have done it already. I thought perhaps they were holding out until the PC game released, but nope...

The items they added back to the cash shop were also either 1.0 items or from previous seasonal events, Lightning Returns items was a special, non seasonal event.

We just need to accept it's not coming back, sorry

Honestly I don't get the appeal of the games. Tried the original and felt like it was treating me like it was my first RPG which made me return it to the store within the hour. Despite seeing the gameplay for lightning returns and it did look interesting, got it on steam and its basically a "Hold this attack then switch to different class and repeat", so I got it refunded and pending on my $17.99 return now.

As for the outfit, I really hope they put it in the Mogstation only because, as I have said before, it doesn't matter if the event ran every month for a year, people who join tomorrow would complain about missing it.

Like the other 30 topics about this that pop up often, they already brought it back 3 times, due to people begging for it, You probably won't get a 4th and even if you do, once that is over a few months later people who came back from break/1st timer players will ask if it's coming back again, and then then 6th time, and so on. yea, this won't end i guess.

If you're going to ask for cash shop option, May as well ask for all legacy items to be put there as well, so everyone can have everything.

As a legacy player, i think i can say... having monopoly on the legacy unique's for 3 years has been plenty to sate my special snowflakiness. I'd be fine with them offering them now. like say... add the Raven earrings to savage coil, put the goobbue onto the mogstation, add in a quest that grants the legacy tattoo if they wanted even.

We don't need to be super special anymore.

I'm aware about that, I was simply saying that a direct response wouldn't really amount to anything because they've gone back on it once before in the past, so it could easily be flip flopped again, if they said yes and then the team in charge of that said no, there'd be a huge riot, bigger than when they said no and then decided yes (and yes, people were pissed about it happening for the third time, even, for some reason I never quite understood)
