I have to agree, chances are that the Zeta relic will be consumed.
I'm a little cyncical given the devs track record on implementing certain other things (egis) so I'll do the Schoolastere quest first and see what others do to the Zeta, but chances are I'll bite the bullet for the first relic and if the replicas are implemented soon enough, use the first zeta for the AST weapon.
It's okay, no rush on the Zeta replica. Some of us like the Nexus replica for quite a bit, and I guess Cane of the Heavens is pretty enough for now.
I trusted that I would be safe to proceed with allowing the quest to destroy my Zeta. Shortly after doing so, I made my way to North Shroud only to discover I didn't have the option when speaking to Drake. I pulled up reddit and found out the reason I didn't have that option is because there is quest that MUST be completed with your Zeta. The patch notes failed to give this information. SE should take responsibility for their negligence and provide those who found this out the hard way with a replacement relic or implement some other type of fix. They have no problem posting in previous patch notes which quest would be needed in order to move forward. So why skip it this time? SO If you have a Zeta make sure you go to North Shroud and confirm you completed the quest 'The Vital Title' before you do anything
Well, to be fair, when the replica's were launched back in 3.0 it did mention what you needed to do. From 3.0's patch notes:The patch notes failed to give this information. SE should take responsibility for their negligence and provide those who found this out the hard way with a replacement relic or implement some other type of fix. They have no problem posting in previous patch notes which quest would be needed in order to move forward. So why skip it this time?
"[2.0] Players can now purchase replica Zodiac Weapons from Drake in the North Shroud (X:30 Y:20).
After completing the quest "The Vital Title" players can speak with Drake to purchase replicas of any Zodiac Weapon they have already acquired."
