Early Heavensward areas on Behemoth were...empty?!

I imagine its the same way on all servers. Don't expect any HW areas except for the Churning Mists or Hinterlands and on occasion, the Sea of Clouds, to be particularly active. Unless there's a hunt up and everyone flocks to the area like a pack of vultures.

I'll be blunt and say there's very little to do in the overworld aside from FATEs, gathering or the occasional Hunt spawn. Western Highlands used to be a popular FATE grinding spot after they bumped up the EXP for HW FATEs until people realized that Northern Thanalan was still better with less time of travel between FATEs.

I still see Party Finders for FATE groups in the Churning Mists or Hinterlands on Cactuar, and people are in the Sea of Clouds for the beast tribe quests.

Uhm you can't go to northern thanalan til 43-45.. So if you'renot doing western highlands..you're running dungeons.

What are you talking about? I see people in NT as low as Level 35 and as high as 54. You're free to go to NT as soon as you start the game...

There's not a lot of logic in that statement. For starters, there's nothing physically stopping you from entering the area (unlike the Western Highlands, which requires MSQ completion), and secondly there's nothing stopping you from STAYING in Northern Thanalan after you hit 50 or beyond.

Level sync means that it's still decent for XP no matter how high level you get.
