pretty much already been announced that the dev team plans on implementing all of the standard FF jobs at some point. Samurai being the most popular its almost guaranteed to get added. But just so you know its probably going to be a tank as the current trend recommends.
I believe Yoshida stated he wanted it to be a DPS class, but it's still up in the air.pretty much already been announced that the dev team plans on implementing all of the standard FF jobs at some point. 1) might want to say Great Katana since ninja already uses Katanas. 2) I'm really hoping they add a class that can dual like arcanist. Honestly I wouldn't care if they didn't add a new class and just made some of the existing classes more dual oriented in 4.0. Easy enough to do with warrior.
That actually has great potential for a dual class similar to arcanist. Call the class tachi or something then get Samurai as DPS and Shogun as Tank. Or are they going away from the whole class thing now? Since DRK/MCH/AST were just jobs and didn't have classes.
Iroha's stuck in Eorzea. I sense our future Samurai mentor.
That makes very little sense as Shoguns are glorified strategists that lead armies, Samurai also wore heavy armour in battle. I guess lead into battle = tank?... But then Paladins would be Kings following that.
They're not doing classes anymore. Just jobs.
