i dont know whats wrong with the current housing system, except of some missing plots

I have several major problems with it.

1. As far as I can tell, you can't actually modify what the external house looks like - just size/decorations/lawn ornaments
2. Inside of houses are separate instances, so people spend much less time inside the house than outside
3. They are rare, so only a very small portion of the community has them
4. They cost a fortune

Personally, I liked Wildstar's system, but I feel it could be improved upon too.

As for 1, you can modify the house, quite extensively, but a lot of it is tied to using a FC Workshop which private housing doesn't have. In the future I can see them making it more widely available if it proves popular.

It is possible, I've yet to see a house that differs from any other among the various Goblet FC houses I've lived in or their neighbours. It could be that we are considering two things. I am specifically talking about the structure/design of the building. However, I am unsure what is possible with the workshop.

I think they need to just toss personal housing into an instanced section while keeping the neighborhood type feel for FC only housing. Would also, least in theory, let everyone have their own personal home wherever they like while keeping the style. I'd be for having a home kinda like how the (I forget what its even called) when you first login, have your home and surrounding but off in the distance you just see that background style knowing your just in your own bubble or projection of housing. However what do you mean by reworking to be better? The only complaint at the moment is just not enough space, if they rework it but add no extra spots its just likely I'll lose my spot which I actually got lucky last week and found a small plot for 3.7mil.

I think personal housing was a mistake in general. How many people actively use their personal homes anyway? Aside from gardening. Your friends come over, see it, lie about liking it, and never come over for a visit again unless asked or are RPing.

They're gil sinks that take homes away from new raising FCs, and ultimately nobody cares that you have a private plot.

That being said, I'd be pretty irked just cuz I've put a LOT of money and time into both my private house, and FC cottage and gil refund or not, that's not a replacable investment that I've made, me and my friends have had a LOT of good times at my private house in Lavender Beds. This system is FAR from perfect, but if they remake the personal housing, I think those of us that have a house currently should have a choice between full refund or being allowed to keep our houses that we've worked for.

I use mine daily, my friends all hang out there constantly, even when I'm not there. Especially now that I can give (some) of them access to using the facilities.

Thanks for the link. That is along the idea of what I'm saying, but only like 25% of the way there. I want the entire structure to be editable, so I could have a dome for a house if I wanted, or a house that looks like it's made of rock, or whatever. Like the entire shape/material type. This adds a bit of a change in those regards, but more looks like that stuff is plasted over top of the current house, rather than a house built entirely different.

To add to what I am saying, I don't need there to be sliders necessarily for changing the shape, but at least options that can be added together to create 100's of possibilities.

If your Balmung, I'm not really surprised. You probably RP regularly there. For anyone else, it wouldn't serve anything more then what an FC house would provide.
