Openly gay characters in ff14

She says that to guys, too, minus the "bet you didn't think I swung that way" addition. Most "gay" dialogue in FFXIV, alas, falls into the "girl-on-girl is hot" variety of fetishized lesbianism and tends to occur only when female NPCs would be hitting on the PC regardless of sex. Aside from Haurchefant's general flamboyance, the only male NPC to hit on the PC that I can recall off the top of my head (only play a guy, so this is just from what I've heard) is Thancred, and in those rare instances he has different lines with male PCs. No bi guys here.

Yeah. That's one of my biggest pet peeves. I'd love to see more prominent male NPC's who just happen to hit on another guy without the flamboyance that often accompanies such things. I'm also terribly bored of the 'skirt chasing rogue' trope. I'd find Thancred a lot more interesting if he showed an active interest in both genders or we encountered someone similar who did the same thing.
