    I don't believe we should have boring stats for the sake of "But the abuse", but that seems to be the response to a lot of suggestions.

    After getting some eso pieces and going back into A3S...not much changed for me. I'm still finding myself falling asleep during the fight, partially because it's the exact same regardless of what you do outside of it. At this point, I wouldn't mind them taking some quips from other MMOs like having set bonuses or bonus effects on equipment. Doesn't even have to be something expansive like WoW's specialization within their classes; the concept of armory, as well as being able to proficiently gear multiple jobs within the same role is more than enough, provided that they play differently from each other.

    I'd rather them have tier sets like in WoW.

    Wear all the pieces of a set (like the full savage alexander set or the full esoteric set) and you get a perk to your job. For example, extra crit chance for scholar, or a chance for Ruin III to fire twice for summoner, just as some general examples of what they could do.

    Why should you be limited by a set in terms of how you want your gear to be augmented? By utilizing the materia system you can add your own special stuff wherever you want with whatever combo/options you want, the whole point here is to add some personalization not just another BiS Weapon/Set.

    A few extra points into secondary stats through melds is hardly the same as a completely new abilitiy, proc, or reduced CD which was what the OP suggested. Again, I said I would like this, too. But I see both sides, where it could easily turn ugly.

    The development team knows how to balance content (albeit sometimes a little late), I somehow really doubt cutting 5 seconds off Jugulate for Ninjas would create a scenario for people to exclude others as it wouldn't create a substantial change. It's a minor change, sure, but it's still leagues ahead how the current system is setup where it's always flat stat bonuses. Been playing for 1.5 years now and I can't imagine getting new gear would be anything special in one or year, instead of thinking "What interesting bonuses does this set piece have?", I have the mentality of "Does it look cool?", that's all there is to look forward to really other than pushing out higher numbers.

    It'd make a 336 potency increase over the course of 10.5 minutes. Now, compared to an ability like Jump with 5 seconds shaved off the recast time, a 1092 potency increase over 10.5 minutes, it isn't THAT big of an increase.

    However, it also brings up issues concerning balancing these special stats among the jobs.
