So the people who didn't like it.....left. Imagine that. Maybe you should consider that option because, with all the trolling you do of both the people who enjoy it and the dev team, you clearly don't belong here. As long as you enjoy trolling, and I don't mean trolling trolls like people do to you and others like you, there will be people with a sense of justice to continue to report you and get you banned from the forums til they outright ban your SE account.

i don't know why people keep attacking this person...Its unfortunate what SE did to these forums with that 30 day rule. any opposing opinions are now just grouped up on and trolled...You guys seem blind to how wrong it is that SE did this. you have 500k+ people that cant post in the forums for the game they paid for, investing just as much as everyone else, since no one is paying a sub...people who follow but don't play cant express their opinions and the few who can just get trolled to death by trolls disguised as white knights...I will never understand this community. I really don't see whats so wrong with user201109011316's opinions.

If those people truly wanted to make a valid complaint/comment they need to try the new content. The game is free, nothing is stopping them from trying. Why should someone who has not even tried the content be able to say it is bad. Making comments without trying the new content is like that last MMORPG review where the reviewer bashed the game without honestly trying past rank 2 and not even knowing what the game is about. Not all wrong in that review but far from accurate. and the same will happen with the comments you get from those only watching but not playing (they will be heavily biased and inaccurate)

People making suggestions, complaints on something they experienced = worthwhile comments. People bashing things they have not tried or only listening to the community and going with the group mentality = 100% worthless opinions.

Those 500k people who cannot post who are not logging on to the game check out the changes ... well honestly no longer care to begin with. (atm been within 30days between all the patches/mini-patches)

I believe those that no longer play, and haven't for quite some time, are unqualified to offer their opinions on the present state of the game. Additionally, if you haven't played for a long time, you're usually not helping with your suggestions. That's not intended as an insult, merely a reflection on the fact that if you're only familiar with an old version of the game, you don't have the same frame of reference as someone who is more familiar with the current product. I would not go as far to say you have no right to voice your opinions or that you're not entitled to have one, but a lot of the people on these forums simply are basing their opinions through the lens of an old version of the game.

The same is true for this survey, if not more so: It's intended to gauge the viewpoint of the present state of the game. If you don't know about the present state of the game, you're not the demographic the survey is looking for. This is not a bias (which is not to say the survey isn't biased, because all surveys are biased to some degree) it is a matter of a selection process. The difference between a selection process and a bias is a subtle one. Usually biases are unintentional unless you're attempting to deliberately mislead. A selection process is a way of narrowing down your survey to be more accurate in regards to what you're trying to measure.

From when I took the survey, Zetsumei's survey measured that, on average, those that still play view the present state of the game as average, and inadequate for the PS3 release. Don't confuse it as being an estimation of the general regard of the game.

This is as false a statement u can make...What about the 100s of thousands of people that ledt this game? and because they left they cant post in the forums? Do these people opinions not matter? The very large majority of people who own a copy of FFXIV do not play it. and this is FACT. So yes polling a small sample of people who all obviously have the same mind set besides a very few is a moot poll. There are so many people that own this game that cant poll so you are only getting the biased opinions.

Thats the thing though They should not ever be polled till they actually play FFXIV in it's current state. Because all they will do is answer it as the previous state at which point they quit. So if they want to answer the survey they should play XIV now or post 1.19 for a whole week then I believe they have a right to take that survey. Because they will be just as biased as those that still play.

Exactly, it's a statistical minefield.

You have to employ a lot of techniques to get valid data. And unfortunately, the poll in the OP was conducted on a poor choice of sample population.

To answer why we don't like User/gifthorse.... is because he has never given any constructive criticism or idea's to the Dev team all he want's to do is harass Yoshi, because it is not Tanaka. Also the fact that he likes a game that is empty where all you do is grind out on common useless mobs and have no content. He believes Beta edition of FFXIV was the best edition. Should go read the "Do you remember" thread and find out the game Gifthorse LOVES!!!! and see if you would want to play that game.

Edit: Also stating that because that is what the general consensus is. I could care less that is why I haven't ever blocked anyone on this Forum, because you are allowed your opinion. I just think some people don't think before they post, and I am not saying I am immune to this, lol.

lol well some of your post's point to that, but meh I hate drama crap so I was just answering the guys question why everyone jumps all over you. You have to admit some people do think that way of you. I don't agree with some of your posts and others are okay, but I don't think anyone should be banned unless they are rude to others ALL the time.
