create the following macro
line 1: /emote craps himself in front of <t>!
line 2: /psych motion
trust me, you'll get some more than friendly responses.

I fix ppl's gear for them and not even e thanks most the time, maybe they are all just afk at the aetherytes(sp) O_o I am being optimstic.YEAH! This^. I love doing that stuff. That's why I play Con. If we could help players like we could in XI when on a melee job I would too. I've switched gear in the middle of doing craft/gathering leves to help someone new or just Ring up a new job/class. I don't expect anything in return and have I think at times been ignored; idc. To me, that's my job as Con or just another player in game.
Make a lalafell with a complete gibberish name like Lsjkg Wyikp and then auto-follow someone around so people think they are RMT.
You will never be lonely again.
/em waves to you.
lol love to see how many people you don't know wave back or go huh?
but in general lets face it probably half or more of what is left in game are botting even if they answer back or not they probably just keep a eye out. it's not hard to talk while crafting though, dunno what others mean it's hard, annoying at most.
but who really wants to pay attention while crafting either way, i go into zombie mode i don't read any /say or linkshell for that matter. i'm usually watching tv, streaming things and surfing the net, maybe even playing chess, i find it to be one of the few games u can play actually pretty easily while crafting lol. just put a 30min timer on it.
but i do notice the red for tells so i will answer back but i find it annoying if it's people i don't know. not that i don't like making friends but in my mind it is a nosy dude just wondering if your a bot or not. so yeah i'll answer back politely but i'm probably thinking something nasty like whatever loser, lol. specially if u only say one thing and run off rather then keep a convo going.
most people are friendly, but also this game is becoming linkshell groupings for everything since it's to empty to want to shout for stuff an it is showing on the chat side as well. soon as the game gets a normal population this will stop hopefully and hopefully it will be bustling with chatterboxes. i remember how i loved fishing lowbie levels cause gridania(windhurst) and limsa (oops edit sandy lmao)was packed with players fishing and talking. i didn't even know of fish bots then so if people were botting i was annoying the heck out of them lmao.

Everyone on your server is only interested in bot fishing.
Not everyone. ^^
We all see the world through our own set of biases -- positive or negative.
I am on Saronia which is probably one of the lower populated servers.
I have many friends here across different Linkshells... so Eorzea is actually quite lively to me -- both in the cities and out in the field.
In addition to seeing the world through out own biases, I believe we continually shape our world by our own words and actions.
I spent yesterday shouting jokes in west la noscea whilst my LS and me were trying to get the lancer weapon from Barometz, not a single reply at all. We can only hope the ps3 launch will add some more sociable players into the game.
