    People need to understand that not every player has the same skill-level, and to some it's stressing having to worry about hitting all their buttons, keep positionals, AND avoid AoEs. Most players play to relax, not to be a super competitive meta-dragoon doing 12k DPS on Sastasha synched, especially without tanking the floor.

    People need to understand that not every player has the same skill-level, and to some it's stressing having to worry about keeping up aggro AND use defensive cool downs. Most players play to relax, not to be a super competitive meta-tank, mitigating 40k hits without taking any damage on Sastasha synched, especially outside of Savage.

    Except this is why PLD is in such a bad state. And it's not just savage Alex, even in a normal dungeon run if I see a PLD I know the run's gonna take a bit longer. It's a mild facepalm but still a disadvantage. It's an easy one to fix; make a PLD trait that makes their flash like unleash, and why that didn't happen with 3.0 release I don't even know. Hey guys we got a 3rd tank now, the new one has flash except it does damage, think PLD will be sad now? Nah, they'll be ok. /facepalm

    It could be with who I run with but when I'm a WHM and there is a PLD in the group I know I have more of a buffer and can eek out more DPS before switching over. I really don't want PLD to do equal DPS what I would love is their utility to be more powerful.

    Meh, its no fun when you're solo healing some crazy instance cause the other healer "has" to dps, and for the tanks its not fun thinking about how to deal more dmg in the middle of the instance, I rather be thinking about my cooldowns and the the next tank buster than spamming buttons to get a perfect roation, I play other jobs for that... you know... the classes that can't healer or take damage.

    I would take a random paladin tank over a warrior tank any day...

    Maybe warrior is more difficult to play, but most of the warrior tanks I meet in DF are so consumed in their dps that as healer I really want to say "Screw you, I am going to do my dps rotation too." Maybe then they would toggle their tank skillbar on.

    Nice! You're learning... Kinda. Now try this:

    "Rule of thumb: as long as someone is not playing badly enough to cause wipes or compromise other people performances, let them be and don't harass anyone or try to shove the game meta down their throats."

    A DPS not doing average damage will cause wipes. The same goes for not dodging.
    A tank not mitigating will cause wipes and make the healer's life hard. The same goes for not dodging.
    A healer not healing will cause wipes, the same goes for not dodging.

    A healer and a tank not pusinhing DPS WILL NOT, no matter how much you try to prove it, cause wipes or compromise the party performance outside of Savage enviroment, since it's not their main role.

    The thing is though, is that a DPS doing sub-par damage often doesn't cause wipes, especially when there are players off-DPS'ing and covering that deficit. Since that paradigm exists, and other roles are so effective at off-DPS'ing, DPS players can go entirely unaccountable from the very first dungeon they play to level 60. Dungeons simply aren't designed to hold DPS to the same level of accountability that is expected from tanks and healers, especially when every role is capable of providing noticeable contributions to damage.

    All those skills are there so WHM can progress in solo content. If they had no skills how would they do daily beast tribe quests? Heal them to death?
