“Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are a good person is a little like expecting a bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian”
I still think there's very few people who complain about DPS'ing in an off role, rather that DPS'ing in an off role is expected and people give it precedence over completing your primary role first (SCH saying 'I usually DPS all of phase X' without even seeing if their partner is comfortable first.)
Meta like parsers, are tools and guides. The problem is players who follow that guides like one religion. Without any idea how works.
I am disagree with players who say PLD is useless. Usually that players are not playing well or just hear or watched a kill video and they think if that class is not there, then that job is not working correctly outside that content. Players who don't ask to the healer if he is confident to heal big groups or he wants small groups and do dps at same time.
This is a real question, not trying to troll you.
You talk about your experience with stuff a lot, but if Kosmos Meishou is your main, you have yet to hit level 60 on any jobs. Perhaps part of the reason your experience is so different is that you aren't doing end-game content (casual or otherwise)?
Hmm... Well, in my experience I do agree with her. If healer DPS is really dictating more than 3-5 minutes in a dungeon run, you should ask your DPS members to step up their game, not blame it on your healer. People need to understand that not every player has the same skill-level, and to some it's stressing having to worry about party health AND do damage. Most players play to relax, not to be a super competitive meta-healer doing 9K DPS on Sastasha synched, expecially outside of Savage content.This is a real question, not trying to troll you.

Rule of thumb: as long as someone is not playing badly enough to cause wipes or compromise other people performances, let them be and don't harass anyone or try to shove the game meta down their throats.
Higher dps in A1 will let you almost cut the encounter time in half. Also a high drk parse in a1s is somewhere in the 1200+ range at this point. That's quite a bit higher than 950 or the 800 you are pushing. To add to this the current ilvl puts you above the vit meta even with full str accessories. The hardest hitting move post mitigation only hits for about 7k - 9k. Even with a mistake it tops out at 12k. Stacking Vit on your tank for a buffer is one thing, but stacking it wayyy beyond the point necessary is the same as grossly over capping accuracy. It becomes a waste of a sub stat and healers can still dps while healing a str tank.
That's as it should be. I was referring to the dungeons in the mainstream content of the game, nothing that could be considered end-game.
This is a real question to you. Why do you feel the need to try to question my opinion and experience in that manner? I've always been quite upfront that I don't do end-game*. The post you replied to is clearly talking about content that is not end-game.This is a real question, not trying to troll you.

With regard to this quote (including more context);
What is it that you are questioning so much that you have to question my experience? What in that post talks of end-game at all? Nothing. So what relevance is there to whether I play end-game content? None.Well, in my experience, a dungeon with a tank and healer who know what they are doing runs smoothly
* - I have in fact played end-game content in other games, and very early in ARR I started down that road, and very quickly found that my personal schedule didn't allow me to be a part of a static, so I got left behind by End-game groups. Not that it would have mattered as I do not play this game, or any game, as an alternate job, I don't want stress, I don't want drama, and I don't want to grind the same thing until all 8 players are step perfect in the dance. In other words, it's not something I consider fun, it's not for me.

Wow, I tried to word my question as meticulously as possible so as to not be offensive, but I see I won't be afforded the same.This is a real question to you. To answer your question, however... I feel that your posts appear ignorant.
I'll leave it at that since I'm sure anything further will just result in either a) this thread devolving further or b) me getting banned for being perhaps overly candid.
I'm ready to get white knighted away, OF.
