You didn't mention what type of SSD's you have, nor how they're connected to your computer.

As far as i'm concerned, there is no working TRIM-function availabe for SSD's in RAID-0-array. TRIM is SSD's "defragmentation tool". If you've been using that array for a long time and deleting and installing a lot of data, it's possible that SSD's are lacking performance now. Assuming they even support TRIM?

Then again, a slow SATA-port may also be a bottleneck. A single fast consumer-priced SSD can reach 500mb/s in readspeed, while SATA-II transfer speeds caps already at 300mb/s, making a raid-0 array somewhat useless. SATA3 caps at 600mb/s.

(I used AGT3-25SAT3-120G Agility 3 as a reference drive, according to THIS chart. This is the one i run FFXIV from, and i have my OS in a SSDSA2MH080G2R5 X25-M)
